The pods are sent directly from the manufacturer in China. This means we can keep the price down by not having to pay for expensive warehousing in the UK, we only order the pods we need so no waste or dead stock and we have a very good shipping arrangement with these manufacturers- so your pod is shipped quickly and should be delivered within 10- 14 days under normal circumstances. Christmas and Chinese New Year can effect delivery times.
Pods are delivered by Royal Mail 48 hour as soon as they arrive on these shores.

This may seem a bit extreme, shipping an item thousands of miles from China to you- but it's actually a very green solution. These small packets or parcels are transported using the regular passenger planes that are flying between countries anyway. Our little lightweight packets are added to the hold and arrive with your mail.

Yes! If you opted to go for green, paper packaging then you have your delicious coffee in a paper bag.

Now you have your coffee, pour it into an airtight container as soon as you can to keep it fresh for the longest possible time. One of our plastic bags from a previous order is perfect and can be washed and reused numerous times before hitting landfill.

It's perfectly fine to ship the beans or ground coffee to you in this way as long as you have a reusable way of keeping the beans dry and airtight after.

So now you have options, you can recycle your paper bag, give it to a child to make something out of or use it the light the coals on your barbecue. You can enjoy your delicious coffee knowing that you aren't responsible for more plastic bags in the landfill!

Currently we only ship within the UK. There's a few reasons for this, but assuming you're in mainland UK and not the outer Hebrides (although those guys probably deserve a hot coffee more than anyone) you can expect your order to automagically fire one of our coffee roasting machines, wake the artisan coffee roaster and your coffee variety will be roasted to order, ground if you'd like it to be, bagged up and sent out within that day. The Royal Mail then has 48 hours to get it to your door… and they are pretty good at doing that too. So much so that we've had orders being brewed up in less that 48 hours from making a purchase.

Oh and we're only kidding, the order doesn't wake the roaster. Those guys don't sleep! Ha!

Our roasters are UK based and proud of it, their location is top secret along with our blend of beans which you'll get in our blended varieties….

We have chosen some truly incredible coffees to offer you all year round. These coffees are all ethically sourced and traded and roasted to the highest standards. However, we know that sometimes you like to have a change or try something different or have a special event like a family get together or the boss is coming for dinner… and so each month we look at what we can source which is really special and offer it to you as a speciality coffee. Sometimes it's a blend of what we've assembled to meet our loves and sometimes it can be a single source blend.

Regardless of whether it's a blend or single origin, it'll be special and we may not be able to source it all the time.
HOWEVER if you join our speciality mailing list you'll receive updates on which specialities are coming up, read about them and see if they suit you before they are available.
We will sometimes also add to the list links to speciality coffees that we are able to make available in small batches while stocks last.

Coffee against Cancer is what we're calling our tiny bit of Pants To Leukaemia.

Leukaemia UK and Hannah Peckham started a fundraising and awareness campaign and have worked tirelessly to get the word out, using social media, TV and Radio contacts and celebrity endorsements to get the word out about the awful condition and the families it effects.

The very least we could do was offer 100% of the profits of our Pants To Leukaemia coffees to the fund in the hope that we can together make a difference.

We make this promise: as long as we sell coffee and someone wants to buy it, Pants to Leukaemia "Coffee Against Cancer" will be available to buy and 100% of the profits will go to Leukaemia UK for the amazing work they do.

We're convinced that we have the coffee for you, the one which you'll want to bathe in you love it so much!

There's a lot to choose from though which is why we've tried to make the process a bit easier to choose… we've set up a coffee pairing questionnaire for you which should offer you suggestions for the coffee you will want to be your everyday brew.

We are a company of coffee drinkers and we'll drink different blends at different times of the day and when we're in different moods so we'll also aim to offer you a couple of choices within a similar family of coffees.

That's kinda how this coffee tastes. It's sweet and mild and easy going.

You know how that same Donkey could flick it's back hoofs up into your chest and knock you off your feet, leaving you shaken, sweaty and breathless?

Yeah this coffee can do that to you as well if you aren't expecting it. This coffee has between TWICE and FIVE TIMES the caffeine as a 'normal' coffee blend!

So that's why we called it Donkey Kick. We think the name is pretty apt and descriptive!
